The 2020 year was a prolific one for the Chateau Cristi winery. We returned home with 13 medals after participating in numerous international competitions and exhibitions. Although it was a year of many challenges, the emblematic number of trophies showed that we are on the right track.

Chardonnay Barrel Fermented, vintage of 2018, became “James Bond” of competitions, getting the highest possible score of all our wines 2020. This wine won a total of 7 medals, of which 4 Gold and 3 Silver. The Gold was won at the Asia Wine Trophy, Mundus Vini Spring Edition, Vinarium of Bucharest, Berliner Wine Trophy Summer Edition, and Silver – at the Chardonnay du Monde, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and the Decanter World Wine Awards.

Bravoure Cabernet, Shiraz, Feteasca Neagra, vintage of 2017, conquered the judges of Berliner Wine Trophy and Vinarium of Bucharest. The two Gold medals won by this wine made us convinced of the fact that this coupage will have a promising future.

Wine Couvée Rouge Royal, vintage of 2016, returned home with a Gold medal won at the prestigious Concours Mondial of Bruxelles, and the Pinot Noir came back with other two Silver medals won at the same competition, and the one of Bronze was won at Decanter World Wine Awards.

These medals are not our final target, but clear proof that our wines are capable of bringing glory to our country all over the world, including by means of international experts recognition.
